E-Serve is the delivery arm of Ofgem, the regulator of Britain’s gas and electricity markets and is helping to shape the future of the energy market - delivering better energy efficiency through renewable energy sources, and protecting the interests of energy consumers. If you choose to be part of our team (based in London and Glasgow) you can expect plenty of opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience, with the professional support you need to reach your full potential.

Our Feed-in Tariff (FIT) programme promotes use of the small-scale renewable and low-carbon electricity generation technologies that enable households, businesses and other organisations to produce their own energy. Users receive a payment for the energy they produce, plus any excess energy that they export back to the grid. This role plays an essential part in delivering a robust audit process to support the scheme, ensuring the process is fair and consistent process for all participants, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You’ll work closely with the Audit Manager to manage the audit contracts and programmes – quality assuring technical audit reports and making sure our audit contractors meet their KPIs.

It’s likely that you are degree educated or have an alternative professional qualification, but you could also demonstrate your suitability through your professional experience. You should be able to demonstrate a track record of building positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Good organisational skills are a must-have, and you should be comfortable managing different priorities. And as well as having strong numerical, analytical skills and an eye for detail, it’s important that you have experience of working with legislation and implementing policy.

Ofgem can offer you a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which includes:

  • Up to 30 days’ annual leave
  • Excellent training and development opportunities
  • The opportunity to join the Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits
  • Flexible working hours and family friendly policies
  • Interest free season ticket loan.

Closing date: 9am, 2nd May 2017.

Ofgem is an equal opportunities employer. Protecting consumers and powering the future of the energy debate.
