The Company:

Our client supplies IT and AV equipment rental solutions for businesses which are used at exhibitions, training courses, conferences and any short term event or hire period. They make significant investments in new products, technology and skills which make them a Market Leader within this industry.

This successful and innovative business offer a consultative approach to their customers problems and are looking for a successful Sales Manager who would share their values and passion.

The Role:

This role offers extraordinary autonomy, scope and potential for a driven Sales Manager to take a developed and performing team to the next level. Your job will be as much about growing the skills and knowledge of your team as it is about delivering impressive growth to an already successful company.

Your key tasks in this hands on role include developing and implementing the company's sales strategy, liaising with the internal marketing team to produce collateral for your campaigns, capitalising on significant new market opportunities and ensuring growth objectives are met.

Main duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Set and manage individual KPIs for the sales team to drive sales forward
  • Assisting Account Managers to complete quotations in order for our client to be the preferred option
  • Support the team through coaching and training to reach their targets
  • Help to team to see new opportunities and develop them through to fruition
  • Monitor Account Managers conversion rating - analysis of won vs lost, investigating what our client can do to win the business next time
  • Oversee commission payments
  • Sign off on additional discount levels
  • Visit key accounts to add weight and solve problems
  • Lead and support the marketing team in creating new collateral - identifying which market sectors it should be focused on 
  • Ensure procedures are followed by the team when processing orders
  • Day to day management of your team - holiday requests, appraisals, return to work interviews etc.
  • To be the first point of escalation for customer complaints, and to retain ownership until a satisfactory outcome has been achieved for the customer.
  • Identify emerging market trends to enable us to capitalise fully on new opportunities
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitors, and their product and service offering
  • The Ideal Candidate:

    You will be an experienced, ambitious and charismatic Sales and Business Development professional with the communication, mentoring and team skills required to drive an experienced team forward.

  • Knowledge of IT and AV Solutions would be advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience and success in growing sales and creating new business opportunities within a fast moving, service lead sector.
  • Personal credibility, vision, drive and enthusiasm are essential
  • Strong analytical skills are required.

  • Remuneration Package:

  • Upto £45k basic
  • OTE £65k per annum
  • Loyalty scheme
