Full time £19,387 per annum pro rata to £13,463 for 25 hours per week.

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to work 0730 hours – 1230 hours 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).

Based at the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub, Guildford Police Station, Margaret Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4QS

About the Role

This position is to work in the Education Safeguarding Team which provides comprehensive administrative support to our Schools & Learning Teams working across Surrey.

To ensure we continue to provide an efficient service to schools, parents/carers and Surrey staff, you will keep records up-to-date electronically on our data management system and paper records filed in an integrated filing system. You will ensure the timely and high quality preparation and despatch of key documents and correspondence. The post supports the introduction of Operation Encompass which notifies schools when a child / young person is affected by domestic abuse or goes missing.  Your role will include researching school details of children / young people and their siblings on our internal databases before schools are notified in a timely manner.

You will face a new set of challenges every day and will have to cope with some tight deadlines, therefore it's a perfect opportunity to prove your skills in a fast-paced business environment.

You should have experience in an administrative team role, where you developed a flexible approach to work with a calm, customer-orientated attitude and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. You must be computer literate and take a methodical approach to information gathering, recording and reporting. Confidentiality and data protection are a high priority.
