Major Media organisation currently seeks an Web Analyst / Digital Analyst to play a key role in the management of a group of popular public facing websites by analysing online traffic across the group of websites and working with UX and UI Design teams to feed in data from A/B Testing and MVT / Multivatiate Tests.
The Web Analyst / Digital Analyst will conduct the applicable analysis of the online traffic through the use of Google Analytics, Google TAG Manager and to a lesser degree Google Webmaster Tools. Working within the Web team you will respond to inbound enquiries from a range of departments and provide insight and analysis to inform decision-making. You will also generate regular reports for senior management and external partners. Use of Google Analytics, Google TAG Manager will form the majority of this source of data along with the creation and management of digital surveys prior to conducting the digital data analysis relating to online traffic.
Alongside this role you will undertake regular testing activities multivariate and A/B Testing also known as "Split Testing", multivariate testing. Finally, you will be responsible for the Project Management of digital analytics and related projects and work with applicable teams to deliver integrated projects across this group of high profile, well known, popular websites.
We are searching for a Web Analyst / Digital Analyst / Data Analyst / Analytics Manager who has been working in a role where the analysis of online web traffic has been the primary focus. You will (ideally) have experience/exposure to Google Analytics and Google TAG Manager. You will have experience of data analysis and reporting and be able to engage and report to senior level stakeholders verbally and by means of creation of concise documentation (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). You will be able to demonstrate a reasonably high level of experience and understanding of A/B and Multivariate testing and be confident in your approach to this piece.
Experience of Google Analytics and TAG Manager is NOT necessarily essential if you can demonstrate experience in digital / online / web traffic analysis and project management although you will be expected to have undertaken some research and online tutorial prior to the interview process and be able to talk about its functions and employment for conversion tracking and general site analytics. Excellent communication skills are pre-requisite.
You may have been undertaking a similar Web Analyst / Data Analyst / Digital Analyst position for either a media agency, marketing agency, market research consultancy, public sector body, charity or large media organisation such as the BBC where you will have undertaken both data analysis and A/B web testing as the main element of your role.
