IT Support Engineer / 2nd & 3rd Line Support Analyst - Active Directory / Group Policy, MS Exchange 2010/2013, MS Office 365, Cisco: LAN/WAN, Hyper-V, VMWare. Permanent, Tunbridge Wells, Kent £30k - £35k (On experience) + Bonus.

IT Outsource Consultancy currently seeks an IT Support Engineer / 2nd & 3rd Line Support Analyst to be responsible for dealing with support issues around Wintel Server Infrastructure and small and mid-range Cisco Networks employed by clients of the company across the south of England. You will be largely office-based with some onsite support and implementation work. You will work on a combination of escalated support issues as well as project implementation across desktop, server and network infrastructure environments.

We are searching for a candidate with a range of skills covering (senior level) desktop support issues, escalated from the desk but to focus on Wintel Server and Cisco data network (LAN/WAN/Wireless) infrastructure. You will deal with escalated calls and provide solid expertise within the Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMWare and Cisco (Routers/Switches) spaces as well as cloud based technologies such as Azure.

Based out of the company HQ, you will large work on BAU support but also a number of projects for medium sized company infrastructure migrations and upgrades. You will be required to work in a small project implementation team and be involved with infrastructure changes and the implementation of new solutions and technology on customer`s sites. Secondly, you will respond to escalated support calls escalated from the helpdesk relating to Cisco network and Wintel server technologies. Windows Server issues such as user account creation and maintenance (Active Directory/Group Policy), MS Exchange and MS Office365 accounts and permissions as well as LAN/WAN/Wireless network connectivity problems, VMWare and Hyper-V virtualisation technologies. You will be required to provide high quality customer for users of both desktop and server environment and complete documentation within the knowledge base.
We are searching for candidates who have acquired a combination of technical qualifications (from: A+, MCP, CCNA, MCSE) combined with commercial experience within an IT support engineering capacity. You will be comfortable working with desktop and windows server (Windows Server 2008/2012) and be able to troubleshoot user account issues in Active Directory & MS Exchange, MS Office 365 configure and troubleshoot Cisco based LAN/WAN networking issues and provide high quality user support relating to desktop technologies: PC`s, Laptops, Mobile Devices (iPhone and Android), Printers, Scanners etc. Experience with VMWare and/or Hyper-V would also be highly beneficial as would experience of Cisco ASAs, Wireless Access Points and protocols.

You will have been working on a 2nd / 3rd line desktop and server infrastructure support role, network engineering capacity or as a field service engineer either for an IT outsource partner / IT support company or end-user environment and will possess strong communication skills, be well organised, well presented and possess a desire to learn new technologies. You will have a solid understanding of core infrastructure technologies in the Wintel stack including Windows Server 2008/2012 and VMWare/Hyper-V, Azure and Cisco data networks.
