Yoo Capital is an equity partner in both renewable energy generation and residential property development. Our renewable energy business was founded in 2012 and has experienced exceptional growth since. We seek a highly driven and able person to join our entrepreneurial team and help us continue this success.

The Role:

  • Consider the opportunity for wind development in new international markets
  • Consider planning feasibility and identifying key constraints
  • Identify grid constraints and connection opportunities in different markets
  • Review, monitor and analyse the proposed incentive mechanism scheme for new developments
  • Analyse the wind resource in different geographical regions
  • Objectively compare different opportunities
  • Identify and build relationships with potential local developer partners
  • Assist with the negotiation of partnerships/co-operation/development agreements
  • Manage the identification of new development initiatives

Person Specification - essentials:

  • University degree 2:1 achieved
  • 2+ years’ experience of developing renewable energy projects, preferably internationally
  • Experience of wind project development; both pre planning & post planning
  • Good understanding of renewable subsidy mechanisms
  • Experience of submitting planning applications and knowledge of a planning system
  • Good understanding of typical grid connection procedures constraints and feasibility
  • Practical understanding of cost roadmaps, standard and specifications
  • Basic financial modelling skills
  • Highly driven and the ability to work independently
  • Entrepreneurial flair & excellent people skills essential


  • Knowledge of mapping (GIS) and wind analysis (WindPro) software would be desirable

Proficient user of Microsoft Office. Fluent English & able to work in the UK.
