My client based in Swindon is seeking an Internal Sales Representative

The job requires two very complementary approaches: an excellent customer service attitude, accurate quotation and order entry activity coupled with a highly proactive mind set aimed to converting existing opportunities and working towards set targets and company profitability goals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

Quotation and Order activity: Understand customer requirements and advise on the best products. Issue quotations based on the right mix of price and service.

- Maintain regular communication with customers advising on the progress of their open orders and making changes to schedules, allocating stock, altering shipments dates, processing customer returns and credits

Business Generation:
Make regular contact (telephone / email etc) with other existing customers to develop relationships, understand future demands, current potential, opportunities and competition activity.

- Take full responsibility for a range of House Accounts. Regularly monitor the customer base to determine when customers’ spend is in decline. Determine reasons for this and take appropriate corrective action.

Experienced needed: 

- At least 2 years previous experience in a similar inside sales role is a must
- Organised, efficient and accurate
- Commercially aware and Sales oriented
- Able to speak well to customers (& via email) and handle difficult situations
- Solid numerical skills i.e. pricing and margin calculations, unit of measure conversions, exchange rate conversions etc.
