Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client for a confident and experienced Platform Manager for a FTSE 100 Global organisation to join their Media Services Team.

This is a supervisory role and requires substantial experience in managed service delivery of live events. Experience in client management, service launch management, broadcast operations and technical area supervision is also a pre-requisite.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

  • Ensure delivery of customer broadcast content as per scheduled requirements and contractual agreements, within defined Service Level Agreements
  • Support the Head of Broadcast Services by presenting a unified management approach to operational strategy and act up in their absence
  • Through the PDR process, ensure the Multi Platform team have clear objectives. Identify training requirements to ensure skills are appropriate for the changing needs of the combined business
  • Project manage the new service launch process for Multi Platform Services including service acceptance from Engineering
  • Project manage change for Multi Platform Services in conjunction with Engineering
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key customers and service providers (suppliers) and take part in regular service reviews
  • Manage, plan and coordinate Multi Platform events
  • Responsibility for the delivery and availability of Multi Platform events
  • Troubleshooting all issues concerning Multi Platform service delivery
  • Direct liaison with customers, suppliers and end takers in the lead up, during and following the conclusion of Multi Platform events
  • Overall responsibility for fault management, escalation and initiation of any pre-defined emergency procedure(s) in relation to Multi Platform events
  • To perform a role in-keeping with a position at Supervisor level
  • Conduct incident reviews and provide recommendations for consequential change to systems or operational procedures. Undertake analysis of available performance data to derive trends then indentify and implement improvement where required
  • Attending regular meetings with the Operations management team to review both operational and HR matters, providing input and recommendations toward the process of continual improvement

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

  • Good working and technical knowledge of the Media Services business and its growing A level of understanding of broadcast systems and technology commensurate with a supervisory role with a leading broadcast managed service provider
