DEPARTMENT: NPI / CA Team
RESPONSIBLE TO: NPI / CA Manager but working under CA or NPI Lead
The Advanced NPI / CA Engineer will work on CA / NPI projects as assigned. Role involves taking project from initial point up to full hand over as mature product.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your job title is Advanced NPI / CA Engineer and you agree to carry out all duties normally covered by that title and any additional or different duties in any department, which the Company may require from time to time. Your duties include participating in the promotion and development of Company activities.
·Undertake a range of established technical tasks without regular supervision.
·Be technically responsible for their own work and that of any staff assigned to them.
·Take technical responsibility for specific projects or related work packages and where applicable lead a small team.
·Plan, manage and control own work and that assigned to achieve the technical objectives within the required timescales and cost.
·Technically coordinate and integrate activities responsible for with associated and inter related work.
·Participate in the introduction of new systems or disciplines.
·Technically specify and supervise work subcontracted externally or to other departments, which is directly related to their projects. Monitor the supply and quality of the task.
·Take responsibility for the evaluation, introduction and proving of new methods.
·Represent the department on area of expertise and / or product responsibility on defined projects and or working parties.
·Prepare training packages and instruct personnel in the use of new equipment, methods or systems.
·Prepare reports to an acceptable standard and given authoritative presentations.
·Interface satisfactorily on a personal basis at all levels.
·Individual will need to be able to work within TSTL, communicating at all levels, together with external exposure to RR project IPT.

·Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum degree or other national equivalent)
·Good understanding of manufacturing processes
·General awareness of Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, SAP, Technical Publications, etc.)
·Has participated in projects/activities across a range of Manufacturing Engineering processes
·Understanding of gas turbine and associated application of turbine component coatings.
