Circa £37,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established company, owned by a charitable organisation offering unique science-based supplements to health care professionals and their patients, have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced, highly organized and process driven Digital Marketing Manager, who has strong people management skills and a genuine interest in health and well-being.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating the marketing team to run effective marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on digital marketing, to promote the Company’s products and accompanying services. As such proven project management skills are essential, along with Experience of managing website development projects.

Main purpose of job:

With the overall aim of generating sales revenue for the business, this role is responsible for leading and coordinating the marketing team to run effective marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on digital marketing, to promote the Company’s products and accompanying services.

Responsibilities, duties and tasks:

  • Contribute, develop and integrate marketing plans and strategies
  • Coordinate the complete redevelopment of the Company’s ecommerce website in 2017- 18, moving to a Magento Enterprise platform
  • Lead the marketing team on day to day basis
  • Establish and embed transparent processes for the smooth running and contingency of the team
  • Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues and suppliers
  • Ensure the maintenance and updating of customer databases
  • Coordinate the development of the Company’s website
  • Use web analytics software to monitor the performance of the Company’s website and make recommendations for improvement
  • Contribute to social media engagement and brand awareness campaigns
  • Identify and oversee the management of mobile marketing techniques
  • Coordinate the production and effective distribution of marketing materials
  • Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
  • Coordinate the conduct of market research
  • Write copy for and coordinate the dispatch of email marketing campaigns
  • Contribute to company and industry blogs and manage e-communications
  • Report to management to demonstrate effective return on investment (ROI)
  • Keep up to date with current digital trends
  • Manage marketing budgets
  • Monitor competitor activity

General duties:

  • To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate training activities.
  • To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job, whether that be on-the-job training, in-house training or external training courses.
  • To undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post and as detailed in the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
  • To act as an ambassador of the Company and promote the company brand; displaying a positive image to customers and members of the public at all times.



It is essential that the postholder has:

  • Significant experience of having worked in a digital marketing role
  • Knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms
  • Substantial experience of having effectively managed a team
  • Proven substantial experience of project management
  • Experience of having successfully implemented new software and systems
  • Knowledge and experience of website development
  • Experience of managing website development projects
  • Experience of using ecommerce software

It is desirable that the postholder has:

  • Understanding and current knowledge of website and accounts software integration
  • Experience of managing events
  • Experience of using Social media and email as a marketing tool
  • Experience and understanding of website Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Experience and understanding of using Pay Per Click marketing (PPC)
  • Experience of managing budgets
