An exciting opportunity to work as a Business Coordinator for a successful IT Company supporting all departments with their day to day duties and fulfilling a varied administration role. This position allows you to grow and develop new skills as well as showcasing your ability to support extremely busy teams. We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Coordinator to be based in Stevenage. Our company has over 20 years experience providing IT related activities to include fully managed services, deployment services, cloud solutions, infrastructure implementation etc.


Role overview and responsibilities:

  • Providing general administration support to all business teams
  • Meet and greet all visitors to include full reception responsibilities
  • Deal with day to day enquiries by phone, letter and email and referring to other members of the team as appropriate
  • Act as a filter for all incoming calls, exercising tact and discretion, also using initiative on issues which can be dealt with personally and where appropriate redirecting to other senior staff, proactively seeking information and passing on as necessary
  • Ensure that incoming email is dealt with or appropriately redirected, indicating clearly any deadlines or instructions as necessary to facilitate speedy resolution and prioritisation
  • Arrange meetings and events, including room bookings, room preparation, preparation and circulation of agendas, ensuring attendees receive accurate and timely information about arrangements and taking minutes if required
  • Ensure that information and documentation is readily available for meetings and discussions, and are provided in a timely fashion
  • Liaise with a range of stakeholders both externally and internally
  • Engage with marketing to promote and publish updates on all social media feeds
  • Be responsible for all IT purchasing, stationary and sundry items
  • Produce documents and reports
  • CRM data input and general database housekeeping
  • Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally
  • Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery functions
  • Provide a high level, professional and confidential service to the management team, covering all aspects of secretarial, administrative and organisational support, and provide administrative support across the group business as necessary
  • Implement and maintain efficient work processes relating to all systems and databases ensuring files and records are stored and retrieved appropriately
  • Ensure that all process and procedures are kept up to date and are easily accessible
  • Support handling of travel and accommodation bookings and providing information and copies of documentation as requested
  • Act, in the absence of other members of the support team, within defined parameters of delegated responsibility, to progress matters or seek guidance from other members of senior management
  • Provide financial support to the team, raising requisitions, purchase orders and invoices
  • Assist the sales team with the creation of 'supply of goods' quotes on the CRM system
  • Assist in the induction and training of new and temporary members of staff

  • Willing to learn, grow and develop their skills
  • Able to liaise with stakeholders and other departments within the company
  • An IT background (desirable) or has been working within an IT sector
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Proficient in Microsoft CRM Dynamics
  • Creative
  • An interest in social media, marketing would be advantageous
  • Adaptable to change
  • Car owner


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
