The role will for the Trainee Humanities Teacher will be a hands-on learning experience which can be taken at a pace to suit the individual. Though we of course encourage you to accept more responsibility as time goes on, there is a lot of freedom during the first year of training to take things at a pace that best allows for natural and organic development to take place. The Trainee Humanities Teacher Role will give you a grounded understanding of the national curriculum and the skill set to accurately devise and deliver lessons on the subject.

The ideal Trainee Humanities Teacher will have a strong academic understanding of their subject which they will, over time, translate in to curricular knowledge and effective lesson planning. The successful Trainee Humanities Teacher will be able to have the confidence to carry themselves effectively and engagingly in front of a class of students. The chosen Trainee Humanities Teacher will have a desire to be proactive in their engagement within the work place and want to go above and beyond the minimum expectations set by the school. A desire for success and a strong motivation to work within education is necessary for the Trainee Humanities Teacher.
