My client is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to work in our MIU based on the South Coast. You will assist in the provision of a quality nurse led service to patients attending the Local minor injuries service.

This Nurse Practitioner position is full time and you will be required to work within the opening hours of the clinic

The Client:

Treatment Centre is a state of the art facility and provides high quality specialist treatments in 9 specialties for the people of Hampshire, including Southampton and surrounding areas. This facility is open to anybody who requires treatment for a minor injury

About the Role:

As a Nurse Practitioner within the MIU you will take responsibility for those with a variety of minor injuries and varying needs.

Some of the cases you will come across include sprains and breaks, wound infections and minor injuries.

You will be required, as the Nurse Practitioner in the MIU, to use your skills to stitch and dress wounds, read X-rays and remove foreign bodies.

About the Individual:

To be successful in your application for the role of Nurse Practitioner in the Minor Injuries Unit you must be a Registered Nurse with current registration with the UK Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).

You must have a post registration qualification in autonomous practice and be and Independent Nurse Prescriber.
