Role: Support Worker
Salary: from £15,500 pa (fte) + overtime pay available
Working for an organisation that provides support and care to individuals within the South West. Manor Community aims to help service users increase their independence and develop innovative ways to improve their quality of life. We work with service users with a mental health and learning disability as well as autism, physical and sensory impairments and the elderly.
We are currently recruiting care workers to join our enthusiastic and friendly team delivering Accommodation based Supportive Living services. Training is provided to all new staff joining our team.
There are opportunities to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends. For successful applicants we offer highly competitive salary and mileage payments. Your own transport is preferred but not essential.
Your duties will include:-
- Supporting individuals with daily living tasks
- Supporting individuals to access the community, pay bills, manage money and socialise
- Help individuals learn how to plan and preparing meals
- Reablement/ Rehabilitation
- Social Inclusion
All of the above must be carried out in a professional and discreet manner.
To be successful you will need to be:-
- Possess a good level of English
Previous experience is preferred
