One of the UK’s most exciting food brands is looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to join their team

Your first and foremost responsibility is to grow sales within the company. Your focus will be on establishing, managing and developing commercial relationships between the business and its B2B customers, to achieve desired sales objectives within the UK and wider European marketplace

  • A strong communicator, who has a basic understanding of a category based selling approach and someone who has a real passion for food

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will be split into growing the client base through sales, new acquisitions and business development and current client relationship and account management

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a true strategic partnership with currently assigned key customers
  • Planning and execution of sales pipeline via phone, email and face-to-face meetings
  • Maximise sales through data analysis and compliance and promotion
    management

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years industry experience, BA degree
  • Someone who is sales focused - passionate with a unique skillset for selling and negotiating (And they don’t just mean you read "The Art of the Deal")
  • You must have strong financial skills including numerical analysis (no finger counting or you might lose one in battle)
  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of Word, Powerpoint and Excel. Any other magical programs are a bonus (Salesforce, etc)
  • Able to work independently with little supervision (no hand-holding)
  • Must be self motivated

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High level of knowledge of the FMCG or HORECA market
  • Previous experience in convenience, impulse, and high street channels or contract catering desirable
  • Previous experience of managing your own account P&L
  • Ability to build relationships quickly, communicate effectively and influence decision makers through presenting insights and commercial proposals
  • Creative and a natural problem solver with the drive to produce results and win new business
  • Previous experience of working in a start-up environment, proving your
    resourcefulness and appetite to work in a smaller more flexible 'hands on’ environment
  • 2nd, 3rd languages an asset: German, Spanish, French
