We are looking for an Operations Analyst to provide support to the Finance Operations Manager such as invoicing, billing, customer registration, and finance tasks such as purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash management and balance sheet reconciliations. The Operations Assistant will be working on a busy help desk, the role will be the first line of support to external customers such as electricity suppliers. The role offers development to process improvement activities, writing papers, conducting analysis, or presenting to different audiences. Key responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact for customer enquiries
  • Maintain the service desk CRM system and update cases in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist with credit control process, including invoicing and default payment process.
  • Assist in the funds transfer process, sending BACS files and Direct Debit collections
  • Perform treasury function such as bank reconciliation and cash allocation
  • Assist with the preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations and reporting
  • Assist with the registration processes for customers
  • Monitor Bank Credit Ratings and Letter of Credit expiry dates
  • Contribute to, and meet SLAs and KPIs set for areas of responsibility

Skills and experience required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills - excellent English verbal and nonverbal skills
  • Excel and Word to intermediate level
  • Able to assess, assimilate and use information with good attention to detail
  • Be able to work independently and take responsibility for tasks delivered
  • Be flexible and able to manage a busy/varied workload while maintaining quality of work delivered
  • A high level of personal integrity and professionalism
  • Educated to A Level standard (Minimum of B grade)
  • Minimum 6 months experience within a similar role
