Intermediary Sales Consultant (Telephone Based)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a highly successful financial services and insurance organisation that operates globally. Our client is looking for a highly motivated and driven Sales Consultant to develop and build relationships with a panel of intermediary firms throughout the UK.
In this role you will work to a sales target agreeing a plan with each of your accounts over the telephone and identifying business opportunities. You will maintain a high degree of contact with introducers via the telephone, really getting to understand their business needs to plan and implement bespoke campaigns and sales and marketing initiatives to fully maximise business potential from your panel of intermediaries and introducers.
Candidates will have a thorough understanding of some or all relevant protection products. You will be expected to maintain an awareness of market trends and industry developments, such as RDR, to help intermediaries develop their business.
Previous financial services experience is a must. Suitable candidates may already be an account manager but the client will also consider candidates who are either a Paraplanner, IFA or Financial Planning Consultant whatever you will be extremely knowledgeable of this industry sector and be comfortable working to targets. A consultative style of selling is needed for this position and candidates must possess superior relationship management skills and be confident in their approach. Relevant industry recognised qualifications such at the Certificate or Diploma in Financial Planning and/or a willingness to work towards this would also be highly advantageous.
