Main Purpose of Position:

  1. Supporting a Customer service Level of at least 98.5%, working within working capital targets and in the most cost efficient and optimized way, by creating & communicating Manufacturing and Packing Plans/Schedules.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Creation of detailed weekly/daily Manufacturing and Packing schedules.
  • Maintain, update and communicate the Manufacturing and Packing Plans and related documents and works orders.
  • Proactively review the schedules, FG stock levels vs demand, and update schedules as required to deliver Customer Service.
  • Work together with Demand Planning, Customer Service & Sales to ensure that Demand & Supply are aligned.
  • Develop robust plans on site working with Factory manager and operations team
  • Monitor and report on Conformance to Plan/Schedule, working closely with Operations to drive improvements.
  • Together with the Materials Controller, managing the transition of packaging / raw materials, relating to new design packaging and / or changes to ingredient specification. Validate activity notes and taking appropriate action.
  • Proactively work with the Materials Controller & Sales in the management of obsolete materials in order to reduce/eliminate them by identifying alternative ways in which the packaging/raw materials could be used.
  • Update Service and Stock availability Reports.
    Identify and report on slow moving and obsolete Finished Goods.
    Maintain data in Reflex and Sage.
  • Manage the activities of Materials Controller

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  1. Minimum 5 years' experience within an FMCG company
  1. Proven experience (or potential to learn) planning and scheduling systems.
  1. Motivated self-starter who can operate in a team environment. Working collaboratively with all functions, e.g. Production, engineering requirements.
  2. Ability to influence and engage people at all levels across the business.
  3. Ability to own and make decisions within your sphere of operation.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills both within the business and with suppliers / customers.
  5. Excellent Organisational
  6. People management skills and experience (minimum 2 years)
  7. Advanced IT skills - Particularly Excel and knowledge of SAGE or similar systems.

Experience of Reflex system would be a plus.
