Overview of the role:

Direct Workforce are working with our well established client to recruit for an experienced Management Information Systems Officer to work in Doncaster on a fixed term contract for 12 months with a view to a permanent opportunity if successful. We are looking for a Management Information Systems Officer to manage and develop information systems to make key data easily accessible by the stakeholders within the business. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing a variety of software projects that are key to the future success of the business with the role developing to include responsibility for the accurate collection of data and presentation of intelligence to assist in decision making at all levels of the organisation.

Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate:

  • Providing expertise in information management, including what information is most relevant, how information can be best used and the roles of different types of information, in order to deliver against the business Information Strategy.

    • Working across the business, building relationships with stakeholders, to identify and create opportunities for software and information projects that will deliver against the Information Strategy.

    • Project managing work to create and embed software systems into the business, covering operational management, business planning, performance management, customer intelligence, etc.

    • Driving a systems agnostic process to identify and embed the right suit of Business Information tools into business and management processes.

    • Working with the Head of IT and the key stakeholders to deliver projects to introduce approved Business Information tools into the business. This should include a project to manage the process of identifying, developing, launching and maintaining a business wide Information Solution.

    • Developing effective working relationships with other enabling functions, including Care Management, Clinical, Human Resources, Finance, Business Development and Customer Intelligence, so that all Business Information product solutions and projects are aligned to the Group’s information requirements.

Skills and experience required:

  • Honours Degree Essential (2:1 minimum)

  • A Project Management Qualification (such as PRINCE 2)- Ideally but not essential

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016

  • Experience of analysing business processes and translating these into software systems

  • Consulting with business stakeholders to identify Key Indicators, metrics and reporting requirements.

  • Experience of implementing software solutions

  • Previous project planning experience

  • Previous experience of effectively training system users.

  • Previous experience of effective people management

  • Experience of working in and contributing to an effective team

  • Ability to problem solve using own initiative

  • Excellent time management skills and experience of successfully achieving deadlines and working without close supervision

  • An understanding and commitment to Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety

  • An understanding of HR policies and procedures

  • Driving License and own transport to travel between sites as and when required.

Hours:

Monday – Friday -40 Hours
