Cooper Lomaz are supporting a marketing leading manufacturing business in the Royston area to recruit a Project Accountant. The role will work closely with the Financial Controller to support a number of exciting Capex based projects across the business. The role will require an individual with excellent communication and analytical skills to work with project teams, enabling them to understand performance against budget whilst also reviewing areas for cost saving or increased expenditure. The role will also maintain all KPI outputs for each project with accompanying commentary.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Project costing and forecasting on spend vs budget
- Utilising key commercials to challenge projects and control spend
- Monthly reporting on project progress and financials
- Review and Maintain Fixed Asset register
- Maximise return on investment for each project
The successful candidate will ideally be a part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with an inquisitive and analytical mind. You will need to be an excellent communicator to work across the business whilst also business partnering with project teams. Excellent Excel skills will be key with prior experience of working with ERP systems also essential (SAP highly desirable).
Candidates will also need to travel to a subsidiary site once a week so will need to be flexible to meet business needs.
