About us: PBS Utilities Ltd is well established within the Utilities Sector, providing various niche support services to Electricity DNOs and their contractors across the UK. We have ambitious plans for growth in the coming years and now require a dedicated HSEQ Manager who will take ownership of our industry accreditations, lead our tenders for new contracts and ensure that we are working safely. There will also be the opportunity to acquire further leadership and/or commercial responsibilities in the future.

Job Description

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of Existing HSEQ Accreditations - eg Achilles UVDB, CHAS
  • Applications for Additional External Accreditations - eg ISO 9001 & 14001, OHSAS 18001
  • Central Role in Tender Applications for New Business
  • Maintenance of HSEQ Paperwork Required by our Clients
  • Safety and Compliance Audits of Subcontractors
  • Accident and Incident Reporting
  • Creation/Review of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Environmental, Quality and All Other HSEQ Policies

Potential Additional Responsibilities:

  • Line Management - eg appraisals, one to ones and punctuality
  • Ad-Hoc Projects
  • General Management
  • Commercial Assistance

Other Information:

  • Remuneration - £30,000 - £40,000 dependent upon experience, plus bonus opportunities
  • Holidays - 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
  • Hours of work - 40 hours per week, between 9.00am and 5.00pm
  • All industry-specific training will be provided

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety
  • Educated to Degree Level

Preferable Criteria:

  • HSEQ Experience within a similar Utilities/Engineering/Surveying industry
  • Experience managing small teams of staff
