Our client develops its proprietary, market-leading Audit Management Software to companies around the world and currently has customers in over 70 countries.
The company is now looking to recruit a team of experienced and talented business developers to play a key role in supporting the company’s strategic aim to capitalize on current industry dynamics and dominate the global marketplace, thereby becoming the number one provider of audit management systems worldwide.
In this role you will work to improve the market position of the company’s software and achieved targeted financial growth. The person will help to develop the company’s long-term strategic goals by spotting market trends, sharing industry information, building key customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. The role also includes the negotiation and closure of business deals.
You will be involved in the following activities:
Working across a vertical market such as financial services, government, charitable institutions, technology, etc.
Prospecting for potential new customers and turning this into increased business
Cold calling as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Meeting potential customers by growing, maintaining and leveraging your network
Identifying potential customers and the decision makers within an organisation.
Researching and building relationships with new customers
Setting up meetings with decisions makers and either yourself or another member of the team
Planning approaches and pitches including participation in pricing the solution/service
Handling objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Using a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
You will be involved in attending industry functions, such as association events and conferences and providing feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Identifying opportunities for campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
You should be degree educated and have a minimum of 3-5 years business to business solution/software sales experience. Candidates who have worked in accountancy or auditing at a senior level and wish to pursue a more commercial role and feel they could transfer their skill set into a proactive sales environment will also be considered for this role. The company has a very defined sales process and you will require an extremely consultative approach. You will be naturally inquisitive and be extremely pro-active with a real desire and passion for what you do.
