My client a small legal firm based near Charing Cross are currently looking for a permanent Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. 

The Role
The main purpose of this role will be to ensure all aspects of payroll are completed and to support the finance team with general finance related tasks. The role is an excellent opportunity for personal development and for someone to gain exposure to all sides of finance.
Key responsibilities:
• Payroll duties including preparing monthly payroll and pension schedules;
• Monthly and weekly fee earners and performance reports;
• Liaise with the cashier and purchase ledger team to provide monthly financial reporting and analysis;
• Supporting the preparation of the monthly and quarterly VAT returns;
• Ad hoc tasks.

Previous experience supporting a small to medium sized finance team within a commercial organisation.
Enthusiastic and hardworking with a strong interest in pursuing a career in finance.
Intermediate – advanced skills in Excel, Word and an ability to work proficiently with finance and bespoke software systems.
An appetite to study towards AAT and experience of Sage and/or legal software would be highly advantageous.
