Junior Sous/banqueting Chef boutique Hotel Chorley £21K
I am recruiting junior sous/banqueting chef for a beautiful hotel based on the outskirts of Preston. This stunning dining venue is part of a small group of hotels whos major focus is quality service in everything they do. The head chef is in the process of developing a new fresh food restaurant concept. The chef is building a team of enthusiastic chefs who want to contribute and learn; from commis to senior sous everyone is involved with menu development. The kitchen has been recently refurbished and all the tools are in place to produce some truly wonderful food.
The hotel has a large restaurant and does a lot of weddings and functions annually, so candidates must be able to work in a high volume environment, ideally with some experience with re-gen ovens. A minimum 2 years in a similar fresh food role and passion for great food is essential!
These roles will be best suited for chefs from a hotel background with experience of cooking on all sections of a kitchen. Hours range from 45 - 50 per week and involve a mixture of shifts depending on the needs of the business. This is a fun and enjoyable kitchen to cook in were everyone works together, chefs need to be able to work within this dynamic and contribute to the team. Good basic knife skills and an understanding of following basic recipes and instructions are also important. Previous banqueting experience is essential!
