Stock Analyst / Accountant
My client a leading multi-site manufacturer who are based in Leominster seek to recruit a Stock Analyst / Accountant to work within a fast paced finance function for a multi-million turnover group. The role is split into two parts; inventory / stock management and the financial control / accounts preparation for a company within the group.
Responsibilities for this role are varied and include: ensuring the accuracy of all facets of inventory across four UK sites. You will provide weekly and monthly management reporting on inventory accuracy and will visit each site location on a monthly basis. Auditing current procedures and controls, suggesting improvements where necessary and enforcing best practice across all areas of inventory.
You will also have overall responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the finance function for a company within the group to include; preparing monthly management accounts, producing reports for the Board, statutory returns, tax information and financial statements.
The successful candidate will ideally either have or be working towards an accounting qualification such as AAT, CIMA or an equivalent Audit qualification, and demonstrable experience of working within a Finance or Audit department. Previous experience of working for a manufacturing organisation would be a distinct advantage. Experience of using SAP (desirable), the ability to challenge current processes, and good excel skills and data manipulation are essential.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with excellent communication skills, and a good team player with an out-going, adaptable personality. A full UK driving license is essential for this role, as is the adaptability to travel and work away from home as and when needed.
