Senior PR Manager - Commercial Finance
£60,000 - £65,000 per annum
One of the UK's most ambitious challenger banks is currently seeking to up-skill their team with the addition of a Senior PR Manager, sitting within their corporate affairs team and working closely alongside the Head of External Communications.
You will be a key member of the bank's corporate affairs team, acting as the face and voice of the business and raising their profile as an outstanding bank to do business with.
With your core focus in business finance you will work closely with senior business teams to understand their needs and translate stories into compelling communication plans to meet strategic objectives and strategically position the bank for the future.
A key point of contact for the bank's PR agency partner, you will work closely with key internal stakeholders including C-suite, marketing and business managers to deliver strong results and report on activity.
Your work will be key to driving news, thought leadership and market commentary campaigns and critically, you will act as a key media contact and spokesperson for the bank.
-Developing and executing proactive communication strategies across all channels for the bank's business finance division.
-Diligently managing external PR agency support.
-Building and cementing media, political and trade body relationships.
-Leading on evaluation and measurement of he bank's corporate affairs activity.
-Acting as a spokesperson for the bank.
-Preparing insight reports for senior executives.
-Playing a significant role in the corporate communications programme, including the financial calendar.
-Leading the crisis communications approach and playing a proactive role in the management of incidents.
-Deputising for the Head of Communications.
-You will ideally have 5 years' experience in PR, preferably within a busy, financial services communications or PR team.
-Must have previous PR experience from within corporate finance, business finance, or the wider banking industry.
-Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in communications, PR or a related subject.
-A self-motivated, hard-working and flexible PR professional who is ambitious and seeking career progression.
-Experienced in managing external agency relationships effectively.
-A track record of successfully influencing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
