Due to expansion, an opportunity has arisen for an Electromechanical Field Service Engineer.

UK wide - This is an electro-mechanical field service engineer role that is suited for an electrically led service engineer with knowledge of three-phase electrics and instrumentation, and some mechanical experience and familiarity with pneumatics and automated process systems. This experience will ideally be backed by a technical qualification and you will also possess some basic computer skills/IT knowledge as reporting and recording is as important as the role involved.

This role involves significant travel locally and across the UK so would only suit an individual that is flexible with regards to travel.


With responsibility for monthly PPM work, servicing, installations, troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical systems onsite at customer facilities the role also includes working as a commissioning engineer on new equipment. In addition your responsibilities also include customer interaction including promoting the company, demonstrating equipment and aiding the sales team in a pre-sales capacity. Therefore you will also have the personality and confidence to support the sales team.

The company do not scrimp on hotels and expenses but as the role is covering a large territory you may typically spend at least two nights per week away from home (sometimes the whole week from Monday to Friday on larger installations).

The Engineer:

This unusual role requires high levels of autonomy, a strong personality and experience of working in a field service capacity. To succeed you will possess terrific interpersonal skills and experience within engineering, electrical engineering, or electromechanical engineering. Alternatively you may be a time served apprentice engineer that has progressed into field service. Please note that the role also requires you to work at heights and regularly work in industrial and municipal environments which by their very nature can be 'dirty and dusty'. The company appreciate that the applicant will probably not have all of the required certificates and qualifications to perform the role so training is offered backed by formal certification.

  • A multi skilled maintenance engineer with electrical bias with sound understanding of Mechanical Systems
  • Demonstrate a good track record of achieving results
  • Experience in Service and Maintenance Systems
  • Recognised electrical / mechanical qualifications - 16th / 17th Edition qualified and/or a Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Competent in Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Be skilled in evaluating and resolving technical problems
  • Be customer focused and articulate enough to provide technical customer training
  • Make maintenance recommendations and prepare technical reports
  • Ensuring that all tasks are carried out following the Health and Safety guideline
  • Full UK driving licence
