Mid and Senior Java Developer
My client are a telecommunications technology company who is the acknowledged pioneer of mobile voice recording. They are establishing a brand new London Engineering team which you will be one of the newest members of which could have very positive consequences on your career, by this I mean the potential to be able to say that you were one of the first members of the team and were a big part of the success of the company.
There is a lot of very cool stuff going on there at the moment. There is a lot of freedom in the work that you would potentially be doing and there is the opportunity to do greenfield development on a range of different projects.
They operate in a startup style environment where there is a lot of potential for learning and continuous personal development. In December 2016 they were awarded the "Best Compliance Application" by Hedge Fund Management Magazine. In 2015 they were awarded the "Readers Choice" award for Best Governance Risk and Compliance Product at the Banking Technology awards.
It’s a small team and you will get to help shape how it grows, what tech gets used, how the product evolves, how it scales out, etc. There’s a lot of opportunity to work across different areas, to learn new skills and be exposed to new ideas. You won’t be pigeon-holed. Calls are an interesting source of data, there’s a lot that can be done with it from an analytics point of view. Much of that starts with transcription and indexing but there’s also speech analytics - inferring tone, intent, … Same thing for the SMS, IM and similar data so if data is an area of interest for you as well then this could be a good time to get some experience in that area.
