Medium sized Insurance Corporation seeks an IT Support Analyst to provide 1st & 2nd line support to a user base of approx. 500+ across multiple sites in the UK and remotely to users in the USA/Bermuda. You will provide user and technical support over the phone, at the desktop and remotely providing high quality service at all times.
Working within this professional services environment the IT Support Analyst will respond to users' calls and emails providing 1st & 2nd line support across laptops, PC's, running Win7, Win10, MS Office 2013, iPhone and Android mobile devices printers, printer networks and other desktop tools and technologies. You will provide user support for technical issues such as network connections (LAN/VPN/Wireless/Dial-in/Remote Access), deploy applications using SCCM to the desktop environment (basic support and liaison with 3rd party support/vendors to resolve issues) as well as MS Office applications including Powerpoint, Excel & Outlook. Secondly, you will be responsible for managing the user profiles within Windows Server 2008/2012 Active Directory / Group Policy, creating new user profiles and email accounts in Office 365/MS Exchange Server. Troubleshooting issues with Active Directory/Group Policies will also be required as well
We are searching for an IT Support Analyst / Desktop Support Engineer who has gained experience in both telephone and desktop support and is capable of providing 1st & 2nd line support across a range of desktop technologies. Additionally you will need to be comfortable troubleshooting network connections (LAN/Wireless) and be able to create users' accounts in Windows Server Active Directory & O365/MS Exchange; it is essential that you have previous experience of Active Directory and can demonstrate this at interview stage. You may have been working as a 1st or 2nd line desktop support engineer ideally within a medium sized professional services, law firm, marketing agency, accountancy practice of similar professional services environment and be looking for an opportunity to mix your support work with project work and gain experience of virtualisation technologies such as VMWare/Hyper-V, WAN/VPN Networks, SCCM and other emerging infrastructure technologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are pre-requisite. Degree level education preferred although non-essential. Self-motivated individuals who work well within team environments but also capable of working unsupervised with ability to make technical support decisions required.
