Environmental Manager
Tolworth / Chessington

Are you looking for an Environmental Manager role? We are currently advertising a exciting position within a fast growing award winning company for one of our well established clients. Your role will include:

  • Ensuring the company stays compliant with all Environmental Legislation as well as assisting the Group Operations Director
  • Maintaining legislative permissions and accreditations
  • Researching and keeping abreast of all future legislative changes and developing business plans to ensure continued compliance
  • Assist in the management of the ISO14001 accreditations and plan and implement future ISO accreditations and migrations to new standards

Responsibilities

  • Supporting operations to implement the Environmental requirements including ISO 14001, Waste Permit, AATF and ABTO
  • Keeping abreast of new legislation
  • Developing and delivering training programmes
  • Investigating and following up incidents, identifying root causes, developing corrective action plans, proposing improvements to safety and environmental management systems
  • EHS projects - ensuring timely reporting and participating in operational management meetings
  • Managing the movement of stock and 30,000sq ft of building
  • Assisting to maintain 14 accreditations
  • Monitoring the Health & Safety of 100 Staff members
  • Maintaining legislative permissions and accreditations
  • Researching and keeping abreast of all future legislative changes and developing business plans to ensure continued compliance
  • Assisting in the management of the ISO14001 accreditations and plan and implement future ISO accreditations and migrations to new standards
  • Keeping up to date with compliance legislation
  • Producing reports to the Compliance Director and board
  • Developing and chair monthly environmental management meetings
  • Submitting all legislative reports to regulators as required
  • Maintaining moral & harmony
  • Implementing training where needed
  • Undertaking Risk Assessments
  • Carrying out Internal Audits, Upstream & Downstream audits
  • Carrying out Supplier Compliance checks
  • Assisting in the management of ISO14001 System & Continued Compliance
  • Undertake internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO14001

Personal Specification

  • Environmental management experience
  • Environmental regulation experience
  • Hands on experience with a flexible approach
  • ISO 14001
  • Waste permits
  • AATF
  • ABTO
  • Ability to solve logical and technical problems
  • Good organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Must have an excellent eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and orally
