This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well–established, highly reputable manufacturing company based near Doncaster.

As Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical & electrical maintenance of all plant machinery.

Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture in their industry and incorporates the finest skills and disciplines of mechanics, metallurgy, forging, heat-treatment, fabrication, welding and machining.

The Maintenance Engineer will be expected to carry out the engineering functions of the business in order to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the production department. Within this role, you will be responsible for daily planned maintenance, as well as reactive maintenance to plant failures. You will also take responsibility for House Health and Safety, as well as monitoring site systems and recording failures on the maintenance system.

Being an Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager and key responsibilities will include:
• Providing a comprehensive and efficient mechanical and electrical diagnostic, repair and improvement service for plant machinery, equipment and site services etc
• Diagnosing and identifying root cause of every break down
• Continually monitor, repair or replace necessary operational parts
• Ensure all production line machinery is continually operational
• Daily Planned Preventative Maintenance to reduce downtime

You will be an Engineer who has practical experience in a manufacturing or production environment who can essentially take ownership of any pre-planned or reactive maintenance needs for the shift.

To be considered for the role of Maintenance Engineer, you will need to possess the following:
• Experience of PPM’s and Reactive Maintenance
• Experience of working in a high volume industrial manufacturing environment
• Good working knowledge of fault diagnostics on mechanical & electrical faults
• Knowledge of PLC Programming would be desirable
• Knowledge of automation & robots would be an distinct advantage

You will also need to hold the following qualifications:
• ONC/HNC in mechanical, electrical and/or production engineering OR
• City and Guilds OR
• NVQ Level 3 in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance OR
• An equivalent qualification

Please note the current shift pattern is rotating shifts, 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm Monday to Friday, however this could be subject to change to days. Flexibility to work shifts is a must

Salary negotiable depending on experience
