West Lothian Council's Criminal and Youth Justice Service are looking to recruit 3 qualified Social Workers to work on a fixed term basis.

One of the posts is specifically with adults in the Assessment and Early Intervention Team. The post holder will primarily complete Criminal Justice Social Work reports to aid sentencing and provide Court Social Work support.

The other two posts will be based in the Community Payback Team. This dynamic team is responsible for the supervision of Court Orders, with the successful candidates being expected to manage a diverse, complex and challenging caseload. It is essential that the candidate has a recognised Social Work qualification. The candidate must be prepared to work with sexual and violent offenders.

BA in Social Work or other approved recognised Social Work qualification essential

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
