You will be responsible for the day to day management of care staff allocations and the planned schedule of work for operations, managed via the operations management and rostering system that is used across the Care & Support at Home Service.

You will work with operational managers within the Home Care teams to ensure that the right staff resources are allocated effectively within the schedules, in order to meet the planned needs of our service users. You will be responsible for the data integrity of the schedules within the rostering/monitoring systems.

You will support the Care & Support at Home operational management in ensuring effective delivery of services by efficient allocation and cost effective management of staff resources.

You must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels taking into account the variety of complex, contentious and sensitive situations that occur both internal and external to the organisation. You must have the ability to prioritise your workload and work without constant supervision, and in addition, work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Due to the nature of the post it is essential that you are familiar with, and are competent in computer IT systems including Word and Excel packages. In addition; the service currently operates a Real Time Monitoring Scheduling System (CM2000) in which you would receive full training.

You are required to commit to a rostered shift working pattern including evenings and weekends over a 7 day period; which consists of 14 days worked over a 21 day period; and involving early and back shifts; the current shift times being 6.30am until 2.56pm; and 2.34pm until 11pm.

The contracted hours of the post are 37 hours per week, but this will be averaged over a 3 week roster period. The shift pattern is currently 3 days on, 1 day off, 4 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on, 3 days off.

This post is temporary until May 2018 to cover maternity leave.
