We are looking for a conscientious, reliable and customer focussed individual to work within our busy registration offices in West Lothian.

The key duties of this post are:
  • You will deal with the day to day duties within our registration office, registering births, deaths and marriages, ensuring you maintain the highest possible accuracy. You will be dealing with customers at some of the most emotional times of their lives so a good supportive and confident manner is essential.
  • You must be a team player and a keen to learn new skills. You will need to build a good rapport with outside agencies such as National Records of Scotland, UK Border Agency and Department for Work and Pensions.
  • You will be expected to perform marriage, civil partnership and citizenship ceremonies both within the registration office and out with at venues across West Lothian, so organisation skills and confidence are a necessity.
  • You will be based within the office in Livingston however on a rota basis you will be expected to cover the other offices within the district so flexibility is essential.

The skills and experience you must have:
  • A good general level of education to Standard Grade level.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Communication skills.
  • ICT skills.
