Our client, a specialist Development and Project Management company are seeking a construction Project Manager to join their team.

The company work closely with the top 15 funds and also major real estate investors, with the majority of their projects in warehouse/distribution and non-food retail areas. The projects are either new build warehouse schemes up to a value of £50 million or asset-management led, refurbishment and extension projects of retail parks with a value between £1 and £10 million.

Most of their projects are based in the West Midlands and Northamptonshire and down the M6/M1 corridor, therefore they are looking for candidates that live within this region to easily access their projects. Example projects include a £7 million refurbishment and extenstion of a retail park site to accomodate a new tenant, and a £50 million value, 1 million sq/ft warehouse incorporating over 100,000 sq/ft of office space.

Your background will be as a Project Manager that has worked for a commercial developer or construction consultancy, and ideally your background will be as a chartered surveyor. You should have previous experience working on commercial development projects, ideally within the retail or distribution area. They are seeking a person that is perhaps on their first career move after becoming a Project Manager, so you can handle the workload, but at the same time still feel there is some growth to come in your experience and career.

The company affords a great deal of flexibility and trust to you as to how you structure your working week, but as a rough guide you should expect to be on site 2 days a week, in London visiting your fund clients 1 day a week, and the rest working from home.

An excellent financial package will be provided including competitive salary and generous bonus running at between 10% and 20% of salary.
