Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse, Community Mental Health Team

Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated community psychiatric nurse to work in Derby City. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of community psychiatric nursing and be registered with the NMC.

The pay rate for this locum CPN job is £22.95 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour and has an initial 3 month contract.

Responsibilities of the community psychiatric nurse:
- Making decisions regarding the patient's needs and appropriate treatment options based on an analysis of complex presenting problems and assessment of risk in multiply domains
- Agreeing on a plan of care with the patient and arrange appropriate after-care
- Awareness of different types of mental health illness and interventions, treatment, support appropriate for these

Requirements of the community psychiatric nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in mental health nursing
- Current NMC registration
- Significant NHS experience as a community psychiatric nurse
- Experience working with frail elderly, clients with general deconditioning and reduced function, reduced balance and neurological presentations such as old stroke, Parkinson's disease.
