Our client is looking to recruit an exceptional, passionate and highly qualified Room Leader to join there amazing team..

Your key focus will be to ensure all children learn and develop in line with the EYFS guidance. You will need to have the highest standards of care and nursery education.

My clients aim is to recruit and retain the best people and to provide the training and support that enables each member of the team to perform to their full potential. Your development is very important to the nursery and you will receive a wealth of learning and development throughout your career as well as the opportunity to progress.

Salary: £18,000- £18,500. p.a. (negotiable depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday

Level 3 childcare qualification

Previous relevant working experience

Main duties would include, but are not limited to;

To attend monthly staff / planning meetings and training sessions outside working hours;
To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the Setting manager;
To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring that all staff and volunteers observe Setting policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm.
Positive attitude in managing your room and motivating your team
Over viewing planning sheets and record keeping of all the staff in your room and fellow rooms.
Displaying a high quality of written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, parent/ carers and children
A positive approach to inclusive practice, with children, colleagues, parents and carers
Ensuring routines are being following and run smoothly
To promote the aims and objectives of the Setting
A daily commitment to the provision of high quality childcare with an interest in the care, learning and development of young children.
Role modelling enthusiasm for working with young children
To be creative and innovative with ideas for creating an enabling environment for children, staff and parents
To promote the high standards of the Setting at all times to parents/carers, staff and visitors;
Understanding all policies and procedures of the nursery and being able to answer relevant questions from parents/carers/outside agencies
Jointly manage staff effectively ensuring ratios are maintained throughout your room
To problem solve when issues arise
To ensure confidentiality of information received;
To ensure the Setting maintains a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual childre
Lead the supervision of children at play (indoors and outdoors) and at meal times, ensuring your room has stimulating activities and your staff plan from well-focused observations
Complete daily checklists as required, such as room opening and close
To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times;
Liaise with parents/carers, other family members and staff to help ensure that the particular needs of children are met and that parental choice is considered in terms of care given;
Take a lead role in helping to provide an environment where children value and respect different cultures, religion, language and disability and ensure that resources and activities reflect this within the setting.
