Job Title: Sales Desk Manager

Are you an expert within the Timber Industry specifically Plywood & Panels? This is an exciting opportunity to join a driven team to provide sales guidance and product support to a team of Sales Representatives within the business.

Job Overview:

The role of the Sales Desk Manager is to lead a sales team to deliver the sales and margin targets in the product category they are responsible for. This will support the overall company objectives

Job Description:

  • Develop an agreed strategy for growth within their product category
  • Ability to manage and develop self and team members
  • Ability to prepare and present product and/or sector update to senior sales team
  • Able to develop product sales and margin by coordination with category managers and product manufacturers
  • Commercial understanding of market and competitor activity
  • Product and sector knowledge within the business
  • Prepared to be mobile to meet training requirements
  • Working knowledge of Company procedures and organisation
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety principles

Qualifications required:

  • Previous sales experience within the business sector (essential)
  • Specialist product or sector knowledge in Timber (essential)
  • Previous people management experience (essential)
  • Valid UK driving license
