Software Engineer - Tech Start-Up - Flexible Working
Software Engineer required for a tech start-up in Manchester who are continuing to grow due to the success of their product. You'll be joining a small but high calibre team of Engineers who are working with cutting edge technologies to continue the progression of this companies core offering.
You will be joining an organisation with a driven, ambitious and forward thinking leadership team. I had the pleasure of listening to one of the co-founders on a panel discussion recently and it was immediately obvious how integral an inclusive culture is for this organisation when adding to the close-knit team.
A data focused company who offer their customers solutions when it comes to customer attraction and retention - with some big names using their product.
Due to continued success and the passion of the Directors the organisation are close to securing their next round of funding which will allow them to continue their upward trajectory.
As a part of a small team you will be given a lot of responsibility from the get go and as a result be happy to make decisions based on your own intuition. The team have high standards and would expect you to not be phased by any language or tool - simply research it and if it works better than the current tech, change it up.
The Engineering team are the life blood of this business and as such are given a lot of freedom to play with new technologies, different ways of approaching the work and in general have a colossal impact on the way the business runs.
Working in a start-up isn't for everyone.
This role is not for you if you fancy a big pay day in a large company where the work you do is caught up in red tape or never actually sees the light of day.
If you love the sound of flexibility at work - both in the technologies used and also being able to work from home a couple of days per week - this could be the role for you.
If you are naturally inquisitive and are always striving to become a better Developer in a team who will make you feel important from day one - it could be a match made in heaven.
To be honest, the CTO doesn't care about a long list of technologies that you have to 10 years' experience in even though they are 6 months old.
If you have experience working in an Agile environment using either Ruby or Python preferably, there is a good chance we can set up a first meeting with the CTO.
Salary on offer is up to £35k DOE with flexible working hours, remote working where applicable and the chance to be part of a start-up who are on their way to achieving big things in Manchester and indeed further afield.
This role is fairly urgent due to the amount of project work on going so please don't hesitate to apply and feel free to give Liam or Natasha a call at Cathcart Associates to have a confidential discussion.
