The Company:

Established in the 1990’s our client is a well-established, rapidly expanding and independently managed cyber security consultancy, providing a wide range of services and solutions to major businesses in the UK. Due to continued new business success and continued growth they are now looking for a dedicated Business Development Manager to drive new business efforts from Melbourne office.

Job Responsibilities:

As Business Development Manager for this region you will be responsible driving the new business efforts of the company and there services in this location. As such you will have full sales cycle responsibility and daily duties will include:

  • Developing account sales plans
  • Prospecting and target mapping
  • Attending industry conferences and events
  • Attending client review and prospect meetings
  • Entertaining clients
  • Prepare and deliver presentations
  • Gathering feedback from clients and prospects
  • Meet regularly with Sales Director to ensure all targets and KPI’s are met

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, confident and experienced business development professional with a Business, Marketing or Technology centred Bachelor's degree. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working for an IT Security Consultancy selling penetration testing, forensic investigations or similar and must be able to demonstrate a history of over achievement in previous sales roles.

You must also:

  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge in Information Security
  • Experience with premium, complex business to business technical/professional services sales
  • Experience with sales cycles that range from approx. 3 to 9 months
  • Demonstrate success working in fast-paced, highly-competitive, deadline-oriented environments
  • Be a Self-motivated individual who exhibits exceptional communication, both verbal and written, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills
