3rd Line Support Engineer - Microsoft - Windows - Projects - Active Directory - Exchange - Bristol

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-known UK professional services organisation. Joining a small team, working as a subject matter expert, as a 3rd Line Support Engineer in excellent corporate surroundings.

The role involves a major IT transformation project, moving to Exchange and Active Directory, you'll act as the expert within the Microsoft environment for the company. Liaising with multiple teams both face-to-face and remotely, also gaining an understanding of the further bespoke applications.

You'll work directly with the Head of IT, in finding the correct solutions for the business.

As a leading member of the Support team you will be:

- Building new Exchange Server, migrating to Active Directory

- Working on the configuration, installation and support of organisational networks, email, intranet and web systems

- Knowledge of on premise and cloud based solutions

- Configuring and supporting the companies software applications

- Maintaining various areas of hardware and software; Desktops, peripherals, servers etc.

- Administering daily back-ups, logs and reports. Including the monitoring of PC performance

- Testing new software and hardware platforms, before rollout, accounting for any possible issues

- Documenting errors, failures and hardware removals accurately and in a timely fashion

- Keeping up to date with the world of IT, possibly using your knowledge to implement new ideas and strategies
