Our client is a global manufacturer supplying products across a wide range of industries. The now seek to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant based at their offices in Teesside. Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful candidate will be expected to provide a high standard of accurate and timely financial information to a number of individuals within the organisation. Key responsibilities will include:-

  • Completing month end information to ensure monthly operating report is submitted on time and in full
  • Prepare, process and review monthly transactional data to ensure accurate reporting and any queries are resolved
  • Generate, analyse and resolve any variances prior to issuing monthly cost reports
  • Process monthly transactions on SAP, ensuring accuracy
  • Manage general ledger accounts across a number of areas to ensure balances are adjustable and accurate
  • Generate, analyse and identify any variances for monthly stock reporting using SAP system
  • Provide financial support across the business to assist in project costing, budget forecasting or reporting as and when required

An experienced and part qualified(CIMA/ACCA) Assistant Accountant is required, preferably with experience gained within a manufacturing organisation and excellent knowledge of SAP with very good IT skills including advanced Excel. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business, using initiative and managing workload effectively.
