Canon is recruiting a Business Development Manager in for Indirect Sales Channels in our new structure, with two direct reports.

The key purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of Business Development for all indirect sales channels, spanning the breadth of our portfolio from office equipment and solutions right up to our larger scale propositions and our business and information division.

Your task will be to identify, develop and drive key strategic initiatives to deliver business growth.

You will own the execution and performance of Sales Enablement programs into the indirect sales function.

Your measures of success will be against indirect sales channels growth and profitability, customer satisfaction, partner P&L, new partner acquisition growth and indirect sales employees engagement index.

You will own, drive and coordinate the overall development and transformation programmes for indirect B2B sales across all business units. You'll also have the opportunity to showcase your experience and knowledge by representing Canon B2B indirect sales on national and pan-European projects to ensure the needs of the channel are understood.

Whilst we work with you to develop your skills, you will also be given the tools and support to identify and develop the right capabilities for the success of the indirect B2B business.

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate your experience in business development and strategic planning in a similar technology focused B2B environment.

To successfully work in our newly structured organisation going forward, you will have experience of working in a matrix organisation and managing multiple stakeholders.

You will be able to confidently demonstrate your prior sales leadership roles, as well as talking through previous sales transformation projects or processes you have been involved in.

If you have all of the above, along with having experience of leading and executing key sales and marketing activities for an organisation of a similar scale to Canon, as well as extensive experience of working across multiple routes to market, then we want to hear from you.

In this management role, you will need to be business outcome driven, making considered judgements and taking personal accountability of outcomes. You will need to be able to quickly understand the needs of others to be able to understand our customers better, and driven by the need to increase customer value profitably.

As a manager in the business, it goes without saying you need to be inspirational and motivational, as well as having the courage and conviction to take and stand by tough decisions. Above all, you need to trust yourself to take calculated risks, and be accountable for the follow through.

This role is about ensuring you deliver on what you are tasked to achieve through your team and setting appropriate strategic goals. You will need to demonstrate that you have built a high performing team in the past through building and developing your own skills and experience, as well as developing and coaching others.

You will lead a diverse and complex team in a challenging area of the business, so it is critical that you have the ability to quickly build trust based relationships and are transparent and fair in your decision making.

Location - National with some pan-European travel. Head office located in Reigate, Surrey and European Headquarters are located in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.
Salary - £58,500 to £61,750 basic, depending on skills and experience + performance related bonus and company car/car allowance.
