This is an exciting and fast moving time for the UK energy industry. ElectraLink is positioned at the centre of this developing industry interfacing directly with the key UK energy stakeholders such as energy suppliers, distributors and metering organisations as well as the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Ofgem (the industry regulator).

Energy and utility markets are increasingly competitive and constantly evolving, requiring significant interaction between industry parties, regulators, policy makers and increasingly consumers. To make these interactions work, communications networks, agreements and codes need to be in place to ensure that markets work efficiently and all parties have access to a level playing field.

As recognised experts in UK energy processes, we provide data and information management, and code administration and professional services.

The Role

ElectraLink provides a range of administrative, technical secretarial and financial support services to three energy industry governance Code .

As part of the ElectraLink Office Management team, you will provide a key support function within the business, delivering a broad range of tasks across the office and facilities function. Routine tasks will typically be delivered in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures.

The primary function of this role is to support the Office Services and Facilities manager in delivering office services functions for the company. This involves ensuring the office runs smoothly and support colleagues to deliver their work.

Key activities include:

  • Reception duties - receiving visitors
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
  • Meeting support - maintain meetings space, order and deliver catering service for all meetings held at the office, book external meeting venues
  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Contact management - maintain external records
  • Travel / accommodation - bookings as required by staff
  • Act as a Charity Champion
  • Arrange monthly Company Events
  • Attend Monthly Company Meetings (first Thursday of every month at 4pm)
  • Manage Services Mailbox
  • Updating weekly Office Safety Checklist

The role will include good verbal and written communications and will require a "can-do" attitude and flexibility.

Key Skills

  • Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Confident and outgoing

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Self-starter able to work under own initiative

  • Flexible working style - proportion of work is demand led so there can be peaks at time
