Events and Marketing Manager
The aim of this role is to help inspire employees to achieve sustainable positive changes in their lifestyle and wellbeing through the promotion, development and implementation of a range of fitness services and activity events delivered by the Fitness Centre. This role will assist in the design and execution of an annual marketing calendar that increases the knowledge, motivation and awareness of employees on a wide range of fitness topics.
As an expert in Fitness and Wellbeing, they will ensure all programme services available to all members are safe, effective, modern and delivered to the high standards expected. All will be delivered through leading fitness and wellbeing knowledge and in line with our proposition, UK Health & Safety legislation and Nuffield Health's code of conduct, policies and procedures.
Events and Activities
Responsible for the actioning of a series of sporting events available to all employees over the spring, summer and autumn period involving external providers and Nuffield led activities.
Deliver a range of employee activities outside of the Fitness Centre that promote health and wellbeing, including walks, outdoor boot camps and run clubs.
Responsible for the Teams and Leagues ensuring all clubs adhere to budgets, regular league games and equipment/kit purchases. Work in conjunction with the clubs captains in the promotion and marketing of the Sports Teams.
Assist the Wellness Team in organising and delivering internal Wellness events such as JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge.
Assist the Group Exercise coordinator in studio management including class cover, studio and equipment maintenance, recruitment, on boarding and regular instructor auditing.
Assist in the design and execution of an annual marketing calendar that increases the knowledge, motivation and awareness of employees on a wide range of fitness topics.
Responsible for the collation and production of all onsite marketing materials ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
Responsible for the accuracy and relevance of the Fitness Centre microsite including newsletter articles, group exercise updates, charity events and challenges.
Responsible for the daily operation of the facility ensuring all SSOW, NOP, EAP, and RAs are adhered to.
Proactively manage the facility supporting both client services and the fitness team through appropriate allocation of resources based on member demand, usage and work load.
Act as a first point of call for onsite team and all members particularly on complaint handling, operational and health and safety issues and HR.
Act as Client Services administrator on reception for break cover and for any absence management.
Skills required - The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Experience in events management and/or running wellbeing initiatives
Ability to work well with third party providers
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience of working as part of a team
An excellent communicator who can build and maintain positive relationships
The confidence and ability to communicate to large groups of employees and senior stakeholders, both written and verbally
Ability to work in a customer facing role as required
Experience in delivering presentations
Self motivated, enthusiastic and a real passion for health and wellbeing
A flexible and innovative approach to problem solving
Strong IT skills including good knowledge of excel and powerpoint
An understanding and awareness of the Health and Wellbeing industry or a fitness qualification (desirable)
Experience of website management (desirable)
