Business Development Manager, South Wales


Working for one of the largest healthcare companies in the world, you will be using your sales and business development experience to increase the already strong sales results across your territory. We're looking for someone who will strive for results but have the patience to build long-term relationships where results can't be easily won. This role has come about due to a successful internal promotion.

The package will consist of a good basic salary, company car, laptop, mobile (all the tools you need) and a superb bonus structure where you can earn 35% of your base salary for being 100% on target. If you achieve just 10% over target, you could earn double your bonus meaning financial compensation around £63'000. On this of this there is a great pension scheme (double what you put in) and other companies benefits including a share scheme.

More information on the role

You will be meeting with around 5 to 6 customers per day in this 5 day per week field based role. You will plan your own time to allow for admin time from your home/home-office.

There won't be much need to attend the head office but you will be meeting-up with colleagues who cover the territories that border your region to support each other, have fun and help motivate each other at times.

80% of your results are likely to come from 20% of your key customers. There are around 200 - 250 customers in total.

Your Manager believes in hiring motivated people and allowing them enough freedom to drive their own careers.

Experience required

2 years to 20 years Sales and/or Business Development experience

Reside in South Wales or be relocating there (Cardiff would be the ideal location)

Ideally - ophthalmology, eye car, contact lens, spectacles, glasses experience

Nice to have - healthcare business development experience
