Marketing and Communications Manager

A new and exciting opportunity has been created for an inspirational, innovative and creative marketing and communications professional to join the Berkshire Maestros team.

Berkshire Maestros is a registered charity and one of the country's leading music hubs. You will be responsible for leading all marketing and promotion initiatives and generating strong and sustainable revenue streams to support and develop the organisation's initiatives.

The organisation

Our client Berkshire Maestros, the lead organisation of the Berkshire Music Hub, offers the highest quality musical education delivering instrumental and singing lessons in schools across the county and at music centres in Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, Newbury and Windsor. Tuition covers all instrumental families; brass, guitar, keyboard, percussion, strings, woodwind and voice, across a wide range of styles and genres

Key responsibilities

*To lead and develop all marketing and promotions activity of Berkshire Maestros and the Berkshire Music Education Hub.
*Create, develop and implement a marketing strategy that will ensure high levels of return on investment to enable development and diversification of the services provided.
*Use marketing tools to understand the target market.
*Development of a range of sales channels.
*Utilise digital online and offline marketing techniques to promote services and events.
*Understand the customer base and implement the required activities to optimise customer engagement to attract new customers.
*Internal and external communications to ensure clear messages to stakeholders, employees and customers.
*Campaign management and event marketing to drive revenues.
*Sponsorship and advertising activities.
*Clear regular reporting on activities, success levels and ROI.

Person specification

*Degree and / or professional communications in marketing with relevant experience.
*Passionate about communicating the benefits of musical education to children, parents, schools, teachers, external partners etc.
*Proven track record of delivering tangible results and return on investment.
*Experience of working within both the charitable and private sector is highly desirable.
*Enthusiastic, energetic and innovative in your approach to marketing.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Flexible and dynamic person who thrives on developing new ideas and growth opportunities.
*Dedicated self-motivated individual who is up to date with the latest marketing techniques and channels.
*Strong project management and prioritisation skills.


*Salary circa £35k
*Travel expenses
