Job Title: Administrator - Educational Charity

Salary: £18,000 to £20,000

Location: Central London

Term: One Year Fixed Term Contract

My client, a very worthwhile charity, is looking for an Administrator to support the project teams.

The role of Administrator:

Supporting the Project Co-ordinators and individual members of the team by:

  • Managing applications for the Trust's teacher study visits and other selective courses
  • Booking travel and logistics for seminars, the one-day visits and for educational events
  • Processing registration forms
  • Tracking expenses and sending invoices
  • Collecting and monitoring evaluations following teacher trainings
  • Compiling reports and statistics relating to educational programmes when needed
  • Managing and updating a database of educational contacts
  • Using Constant Contact to send mass emails to update teachers about the Trust's educational programmes
  • Providing logistical support on visits up to three times a year
  • Ensuring all staff and educators are DBS checked

Supporting the wider Education and teams by:

  • Organising internal meetings and taking minutes at team meetings
  • Ordering stationary and educational resources
  • Providing general administrative support

Providing support for the Trust's other programmes and initiatives when needed and carrying out any other reasonable request by the Chief Executive or Senior Management Team

Qualifications and Experience Required for the Administrator Role:

  • Prior administrative experience is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is essential
  • Able to plan and prioritise a heavy workload and keep to targets and deadlines is essential
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly use of Excel and Outlook is essential
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Prior experience of working in the charity or educational sector would be desirable
  • A bachelor's level degree would be desirable
  • It is essential that you possess a proactive, positive and team-oriented approach with a high level of integrity, initiative and confidence
  • A willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing demands and priorities is essential
  • A strong commitment to the charity's purpose and values is essential

The Salary for the Administrator

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000

Hours: 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
