Axon Moore is currently working with a market leading construction business in Manchester city centre. They are looking for an Accounts Payable - Systems and Reporting Analyst to join and help shape their continually growing team. As the AP -Systems and Reporting Analyst your role will be to provide full visibility and analysis of the Payables ledger to drive business improvements and improve cashflow; working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to lead a sub-team of 8. It’s a fast paced, challenging environment so experience in a similar role and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential.


- Manage a team of Accounts Payable clerks in an operational, high volume environment
- Co-ordinate staff with regard to planning and organising work schedules
- Manage and report on system interface failures
- Manage the delivery of regular Payables reporting and KPI’s
- Analyse and improve processes
- Deliver timely and meaningful Management Information
- Ensure all transactions are compliant across the team in line with regulations
- Assist Manager with line management responsibilities including performance review and appraisal
- Maintaining relationships with Group Procurement

Person Specification:

- 3-5+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable / PTP processes
- Part Qualified / Studying towards ACCA/CIMA – desirable but not essential
- Large company / Shared Service Centre experience
- Knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) would be ideal
- Previous management experience is essential
- Advanced Excel essential - VBA, SQL
- Excellent analytical skills
- Oracle / SAP experience
- Exceptional knowledge of principles, practices, regulations and procedures relating to PTP / Accounts Payable function
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing and leadership skills
- Ability to deal with and prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines
