Age UK’s Gifted Housing Service enables older home owners who donate their property to the charity to stay living at home as long as possible by providing care and housing services. The service operates in England and Wales.

Using your creativity and professional skills as a qualified Social Worker or similar you will ensure we fulfil our commitment to support our Gifted Housing donors to stay living at home independently as long as possible.

You will bring:

  • Substantial experience of managing and co-ordinating health or social care provision for adults
  • Awareness and understanding of legislation and welfare rights relating to older people
  • A working knowledge of statutory care assessment and care planning procedures under the 2014 Care Act
  • Excellent working knowledge of older peoples’ health issues including mental health
  • Ability to demonstrate a full understanding of safeguarding issues as they affect older people
  • Strong commitment to supporting older people to stay living independently
  • A qualification exceeding level 4 NVQ in the fields of health and/or social care

You will hold a full UK driving licence. This role requires extensive travel across the East Anglia region and occasional requires some overnight stays.
